Hello, I’m Jane.

As far as origin stories go, mine falls squarely into the camp of, “that sounds very, very made-up”. I was born in Indonesia, went to school in Australia, lived in London and now call NYC home. I have a degree in Drug Design (from an actual university not Breaking Bad) and classical piano. A classically trained pianist turned pharmacist turned art director? Proof that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Science is all about problem solving, piano is about creative expression. I’ve found advertising to be a perfect middle for my brain, the intersection of how I like to think. I’m inspired by culturally relevant work that resonates on a personal level. I love that creativity has the power to connect and empower people and that’s something I strive to do in my own work.

As an ACD Art Director with over nine years agency experience, I’m hands-on on the tools. I enjoy being face to face with clients, shaping the work from concept to execution and owning the projects I’m on. I like making smart, effective work and mentoring junior creatives.

Since freelancing in NYC I’ve helped agencies pitch (and win) new business, built brand platforms for tech startups, and worked for nonprofits changing the narrative on climate change.

Outside of advertising, I enjoy listening to K-pop, building websites, playing on my Switch and art directing dinner parties for my friends.
